The police confirmed at about 12:45pm today four prisoners who were among others in the lock-ups at the Georgetown Magistrate Court, waiting to be taken before a Magistrate, broke out and escaped after damaging the grill and wood work.
The four prisoners are Vickram Persaud who is on a charge of Murder, Steve Bacchus on a charge of Murder, Keron Cummings on a charge of Robbery Under Arms and Randolph Marks who is on charges of Murder and Robbery Under Arms.
Steve Bacchus was recaptured in Hadfield Street, while efforts are continuing by the police to recapture the others who are still at large.
