 The Government of Guyana has officially issued a warning bulleting for Guyanese to take the necessary precautionary measures over the next 72 hours, since the Hydrometrological office says there is a tropical storm that will pass over the Northern part of the country.

 Persons travelling the Bartica/Parika route have notice an object this morning which looks like a human body floating in the Essequibo river in the vicinity of Sampa. At the time of this report, no one has attempted to investigate, but the police at Bartica were notified.

Spokesperson for the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation Ms Proctor said an official report has not yet been submitted in connection with the death of Nurse Charlene Amsterdam. She said the hospital’s management is concern with a statement published in one of the daily newspaper which stated, “A close relative said that no one from the ministry or the hospital has even contacted the family to express their sympathy”.
