Approximately 500 sugar workers attached to Enmore Sugar Estate this morning down tools to protest for an increase in salary. The workers claim they were approached by their union, the Guyana Agriculture Workers Union (GAWU) not to take strike action since they were in dialogue with the Guyana Sugar Corporation (Guysuco). 

Guyanese Kevin Jeffrey proudly hoisted the Golden Arrow Head as he won the first race in group four. Driving his Mazda Evolution, race passed overseas contenders at a packed South Dakota Circuit.

The other Guyanese in the group Andrew King driving his Mazda RX7 came in third place.

Up to the time of this report the only accident was Kalamadeen whose car turned turtle at the Circuit, fortunately there were no injuries.

The Police Force assisted by the Guyana Defence Coast Guard continue their search this morning for three youngsters age 7, 12 and 20. According to reports reaching TrakkerNews, while the search party have given up hope of finding the victims alive, relatives are not willing to let go and are clinging on to the slightest hope of finding them alive. But rescuers are almost positive that from the time they went missing on Friday before 18hrs. it is impossible for them survive without a life jacket.

Almost a week after a driver raced to his death with his wife Amanda Singh miraculously escaping the horrific smash up at Diamond, a frightening twist now emerges. His wife recalled that although her husband was at the wheel, something or someone else was driving the car.
