The police are investigating an incident which occurred at the Georgetown Magistrate Court this afternoon whereby remanded prisoner Earl Melville, who was on a charge of trafficking in narcotics, drank a quantity of suspected formalin after the Magistrate informed him that he had been found guilty of the offence.
Melville has been admitted a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
