Georgetown – The Ministry of Public Works has announced that their Geometric Improvements to Traffic Light Intersection Project, which started in August to improve road safety infrastructure along roadways in and around Georgetown is 40 percent complete.
The $87M dollar project was awarded to Errol Cush Contracting Service is design to improve the safety of pedestrian at traffic light intersection. Works are currently on-going at Lamaha and Vlissengen Road, Regent Street and Vlissengen Road and Aubrey Barker Road and Mandela Avenue. The project is to be completed by mid February 2011.Recently President Bharrat said contractors working for the Government will be blacklisted if their works are not done on scheduled time.
