Ruimveldt, Georgetown: Persons who are squatting at Countainer city in East and West Ruimveldt, Georgetown will be relocated by the Ministry of Housing. Subject Minister Irfan Ally told the squatting residents that their area cannot be regularized since it is Government reserve and committees will be established to determine relocation time and areas. Some of the squatters voicing their concerns said they received house lots but were unable to pay the Ministry. An investigation within the Ministry found applicants were putting a wrong income figure on their forms which was higher than what they earn and ended up with the financial difficulty.
