Several victims of illegal wiretapping by the State have signalled their intention to seek legal recourse. Letters were yesterday forwarded to Attorney General, Anand Ramlogan, and National Security Minister, Brigadier John Sandy, by attorney Om Lalla. Lalla, who is representing talk show host Ian Alleyne, wrote yesterday seeking full disclosure from the State on the information they received on his client. Two other victims, Satnarayan Maharaj, secretary general of the Maha Sabha, and assistant secretary Devant Maharaj, are both scheduled to announce their plan for seeking legal recourse from the State at a press conference scheduled to start at 11 am today.
