Pupils charged with rape back in school

The five male pupils who were charged with the rape of a schoolmate have all returned to class.
The five pupils from form four and five returned to class today sparking outrage from some parents.
The school’s principal however has jumped to the defence of the boys saying they are innocent until proven guilty.
The boys in addition to a former pupil of the school are currently on$85,000 bail.
The boys were suspended from school.
All six boys, who are from East Port of Spain, St James and Diego Martin are charged with two counts of rape, which are alleged to have occurred on September 17 and October 11 on the school’s compound, while one of the younger teens faces an additional charge of grievous sexual assault, which is alleged to have occurred on October 11.
