A small group attached to the People’s National Congress Reform this afternoon staged a protest action outside of the Ministry of Human Services calling on Minister Priya Mankichand to demit office.
Spokesperson for the group Troy Garraway says, the Ministry has already failed the sixteen year old Queen’s college student the late Neesa Gopaul and the Minister should resign.
Garraway said the opposition party will not let this matter dissolve in thin air and calls for a speedy investigation by the Ministry and the courts.He
The body of Nessa Gopaul was found in a suitcase in the Madewini Creek in the vicinity of Emerald Tower Resort on Saturday October 2, 2010, at about 14:00hrs.
Her stepfather Jarvis Small and her mother Bibi Shareema Gopaul were charge for her murder.
Their last court appearance on October 18,2010, their case jackets were not in the possession of the prosecutor.
