The demise of 2 young brothers in Leguan in a car accident has triggered widespread concerns, with emails and postings on facebook this weekend. A senior traffic officer speaking to TrakkerNews on Saturday, raised serious concerns about the breach of the law as it regards driving under the influence, and was saddened at the lost of lives. He said that it is very unfortunate when people have to learn at such a heavy price. There can be no doubt that the driver lost control because of his intoxication, the officer added. When asked about the penalty being too lenient and about the high incidence of traffic officers being bribed. the officer said that it is obvious that the force may have to go back to the drawing board and make immediate changes, in an effort to stop the carnage. Davindra and Ronald Singh, the two brothers who perished after slamming their car into a power pole which ended up in a trench, were on a birthday drinking spree. Another passenger is clinging onto life at the hospital.
