Today two teenaged persons were arrested by the police and held for a robbery under arms committed on 40 year old Kickadai Sukhai, a businesswoman of Block ‘G’ Golden Grove, East Bank Demerara.
The woman was at the time at her shop when the suspects entered and requested two bottles of aerated drinks. When being served, one of them pointed the gun at the woman and climbed through a small hole on the counter and opened a door for the other to enter the shop, where they stole cash totaling $34,200.00 dollars, some documents and escaped.
A report was made and ranks from the Grove/Diamond police station responded and chased after the suspects.
During the chase the bandits dropped a bag containing what turned out to be a toy gun and recovered the booty on the suspects.
They are in custody assisting the police with their investigations
