Shareema Gopaul and Jarvis Small, charged with the brutal murder of 16 year old Neesa Gopaul, will have to wait to find out whether they will be committed to stand trial for murder, as the case in the Magistrate’s Court was adjourned until the 23rd of November 2010. The Prosecution on Monday failed to complete it’s case against the duo, causing defense lawyers, Vic Puran and Bernard De Santos to question whether the Police are still fishing it the presentation of their case. Puran, representing the girl’s mother told TrakkerNews that his submission to the court it that the Prosecution must not be made to change the locus of the case. Bernard De Santos representing Jarvis Small told the court that the defense cannot be at the mercy of the Prosecution who seem to be like grasshoppers in the matter. An overcrowded court room and packed court yard was the scene today as many turned out in a much publicized murder case. The Magistrate told the Prosecution to avoid stalling the defense and be prepared with their case on the next court date. As the two were led away by Police they showed no signs of remorse and kept a serious face throughout the court appearance. Neesa’s disfigured body was discovered on October 2 in a suitcase at the Madewini Resort.
