Five homeless as woman set her house ablaze.

41 year old Denise Monroe, today made good on her threat to burn her house down. She was today released from Police custody after being arrested Monday last for attempting to burn her house by leaving on the gas and setting a window curtain on fire. According to relatives, Denise started acting weird since the past 2 months. She was operating as if she was possessed, one neighbor said. When TrakkerNews arrived at the scene, the firefighters manage to put the flames out and contain it from spreading to other buildings in the yard, but nothing was saved in the blaze.

Monroe a few months ago went through a divorce with her now ex, Quasy, who was at the scene. Relatives claim that Denise was reacting to the divorce after she was heard telling her mother to get out from the downstairs, claiming that her husband will only come back if they leave the house. Denise’s mother, a granddaughter with her 2 year old child were living in the bottom flat of the 2 storey house, now gutted. Just before  21 hrs. Thursday evening, Denise set a mattress on the upper floor alight. By the time the screams were heard and the occupants rushed for safety, it was too late as neighbors and relatives tried to douse the flames. She told her niece that she was going to commit suicide after setting the fire and was seen heading towards the back lands. Up to the time of this report it was not confirmed whether the Police found her.

Some say that Denise was affected by the divorce, claiming that the woman’s ex may have led to her actions. However, TrakkerNews in an exclusive conversation with the ex, heard a different story. Quacy said that he never left the home, and that it was Denise who told him to leave. The man who has 3 children with the woman claim that for months he tried to make the relationship work, but his wife h been misled by her family and friends, which often caused a lot of disputes. He added that on Monday last he spoke to Denise who seemed not to be in her right senses.

The family who lived there for almost 18 years, are with relatives in the community.
