Energy Minister Carolyn Seepersad-Bachan is calling for her fellow Congress of the People (COP) to exercise patience with the People Partnership government over the appointment of State boards. Seepersad-Bachan’s statement came in response to outrage expressed by senior COP officials, including party chairman Hulsie Bhaggan, over the non-appointment of any COP members as a Chairman in any of the State boards selected so far The COP along with the United National Congress (UNC), National Joint
Action Committee (NJAC), Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) and the Tobago Organisation of the People (TOP) have formed a coalition government.Seepersad-Bachan has called on her COP colleagues to not become a detriment
to the coalition.
