Ministry of Housing says Parfait Harmonie Bridge Lifespan Expires

The dilapidated Greenheart Bridge at Parfait Harmonie, Canal No.1 will be replaced by a concrete bridge.
According to the Government Information Agency, the wooden structure lifespan is up and the new bridge will be built at a cost of 80 million dollars (GC). The bridge was built in the year 2000. The Central Housing and Planning Authority’s engineers are finalizing its design and the expected time of tendering for the project is three weeks and construction will commence in December 2010.
