The owner of a spanking new customized Hilux Vigo worth around 23,000 US dollars is probably kicking himself, adding to the injuries he sustained after smashing into the back of a route 44 minibus today at the head of Sheriff st. by a stop light. The entire front of the Vigo was smashed beyond repair. The driver and a few others in the minibus suffered minor injuries. According to reports the minibus halted after the light quickly changed to red, while the driver of the Vigo who was going too fast slammed head on into the minibus. When TrakkerNews arrived at the scene the minibus was already towed away. Drivers often try to beat the stop lights putting other vehicular traffic in harms way. Almost daily there an accident as drivers continue to speed and misuse the roadways. The Police Traffic Department of recent stepped up it’s campaign against reckless drivers, however it seems stricter measures will have to be taken to stop those bent on causing mayhem on the roadways.
