The police are looking for the driver of a green Toyota Carina AT 212 which hit down Edward Jeffers of Plum Park, Sophia at around 3pm today. Jeffers was struck down on Sheriff Street in the vicinity of the Campbellville Secondary School . The pedestrian was attempting to cross the road from east to west when he was it by the car.
Jeffers died before receiving medical attention at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
Meanwhile the Police are investigating a fatal accident at No.74 village Public Road where
Alex Johnson age 39 years of lot 1 ‘B’ No. 35 Village, Corentyne died at minutes to 1am today.
She together with seven others including the driver Ravindra Prettipaul age 22 years of Brighton Village, Corentyne were in motor car PFF 405 speeding along the public road when it ran into a heap of mud.
The driver lost control, collided with a lamp pole and ran into a yard. They were all taken to the Skeldon Hospital where Johnson was pronounced dead on arrival. Prettipaul was admitted and the six others were treated and sent away. His condition is regarded as stable.
